A couple of good songs, but all in all a bit too squared off. Not much imagination, roots music doesn't have to be so dry. I was drawn to her by her appearance at the Gram Parson Tribute concert. When she has great songs to sing she is really fine.

Of all his cd's this seems to me to be a rip-off. Lame versions of really good songs. Lifeless rendetions that will turn you away from one of my favorite artists. Stay clear and buy one of the others listed above, much better value.

Yes I know he's written a lot of tunes, but you can't have a "Best of" album without Ethylene, Georgia Rae, and possibly his best song Dust Down a Country Road.

I heard about this cd when I saw the video of 'Jolene' on CMT. This artist's version was so hauntingly beautiful, I just knew the rest of the cd would be great! WRONG! All of the other songs bored me to death.
