Todd Snider has built a reputation as a great live performer who tours relentlessly. Near Truths and Hotel Rooms, his third release for Oh Boy Records (his sixth overall) is an all live collection of songs and stories that represents a typical evening with Snider, his guitar, and his imagination. Co-produced by Snider, this 23-song disc combines his witty songwriting with his engaging storytelling. Recorded in several different locations over eighteen months. It includes an alternate version of 'Beer Run' recorded on the air during one of Todd's many appearances on the syndicated morning radio program Bob & Tom. 2003.

Excellent

This is really an amazing album.

It was recommended to me. I didn't know Todd Snider before listening to it. It blew me away. It reminded me of the folk songs I used to listen to when I was a kid, but updated for the modern times. read full review | report as inappropriate

Possibly the funniest recording with real musical content ever!

Todd writes incredible songs, and tells great stories in between. It's a fantastic singer/songwriter album. My favorite, in fact.

Amazing Quality! Powerful Performances! PERFECTION!

do yourself a favor, keep a watch out for when todd snider comes to your town. he is about as entertaining a performer as i've seen. great songs. great between song banter. this is an excellent souvenier from his live shows. i hope more live...
