| The Pioneer TS-W301R is a power-hungry car subwoofer that's been recently upgraded to provide a higher level of performance and durability. The TS-W301R features a 12-inch driver with a massive 800 peak watts of power handling, all at a very affordable price. Who says you have to blow the bank to have a killer sound system? The TS-W301R can be used in either a ported bass cabinet or a sealed enclosure, and the owner's manual has designs that are recommended to bring out the best sound. Pioneer includes a Conex damper ring to provide a strong connection if you choose to use a sealed enclosure, and spring compression terminals are also a part of the package. The bright blue woofer is made from Pioneer's IMPP composite material, and the urethane surround is designed to be extremely durable, especially in the temperature extremes common to vehicle interiors. The TS-W301R looks good on its own, and for additional protection, you can add a grille cover. This subwoofer has a four-layer voice coil for better power handling. The frequency response is 20Hz to 4,000Hz at 4 ohms, and the sensitivity is at 91dB. The recommended average power handling is 150 watts. Although this is a large driver, it has a fast, musical sound, and not the loose, flabby response produced by many discount subwoofers. With its quality of construction and better-than-expected audio response, the TS-W301R is a great value. Warranty 1 year ...
